Duncan Cameron of Cameron Group International flew in from Scotland to make a presentation on behalf of Hydra Renewable Resources (a BC company) to the CRD on February 15th, 2016 on a innovative solution to the waste management of the CRD outlining no capital costs, no operating costs  to the tax payer. No loss of jobs plus $21 million dollars in leasing fees paid to the CRD times 30 years. Water and Sewer rates frozen for the life of the contract. Mr. Cameron also attended the Westshore Chamber of Commerce meeting on February 16th 2016, the business community spoke out on the sewage project in Colwood Chamber president, Doug Kobayashi said he was “outraged” with the way the costs have increased for the project. He said residents were initially told they’d be looking at around a $250 annual charge and that has risen dramatically under the new options.
